Let the Quest Begin

Quest aims to bring together the privilege and pleasure of spending time with our children, as they grow, learn and navigate the world around them; whilst also creating a safe space for children and young people to attend by themselves, developing their independence and self-confidence.

All of the projects and sessions that we offer have been thoughtfully and expertly crafted to develop a Nourishing, Inspiring and Extraordinary experience.

The Patch has been developed over the last 3 years, and a number of home educating families have been integral to the design and development of the space.

The Patch has been created with a deep respect for the natural environment, and for the development of the community that has and continues to flourish here.

With that in mind we have created The Patch Promise, which sets out a way of being together here at The Patch to ensure that both the site and its community can be safe, respected at the same time as being free to explore, play, discover and create...

We hope you enjoy looking through our offering, and look forward to welcoming you to The Patch, and to joining The Quest Community...

The history of Quest

Quest was first set up in 2014, to help support my children on our Home Educating journey.  Since then we have met many lovely families, my children and I have made some wonderful friends, and together we have had some extraordinary experiences…

Alongside our adventures, I also run a company called A Thoughtful Place To Be, which specializes in creating spaces… spaces for play, spaces for storytelling and spaces for well-being and connection, spaces that are thoughtful, tactile and imaginative.

Developing "The Patch", allowed me to bring all of the ethos and integrity of creating amazing spaces to offer projects and experiences for my children and other home educating families that are vibrant, engaging and unique.

To find out more about me and my background, have a look at the ‘vision’ page, for info on projects that you can get involved in visit our ‘projects’ page, or visit the ‘contact’ page to get in touch. While you’re here you might like to browse through the ‘gallery’ page too…

This website and all of the projects listed are designed exclusively for home educated / flexi-schooled children and their families. For details of the other projects happening at The Patch, visit www.the-patch.org
