Creative Arts Programme

Creative Arts Programme (Arts Award)

Undertaking the Arts Award is a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved in all aspects of the arts.  From illustrating a comic, or writing a piece of music, to creating a sculpture from recycled materials or hosting a fashion show… it’s all about exploring and discovering, thinking up new possibilities and trying out new things, learning new skills and having lots of fun along the way…

  • 7-12 year olds
  • Tuesdays 1.00 – 3.00
  • £20 per session (paid half termly)
  • Places for 12 children
  • These sessions are designed for the children to attend independently (although parents are welcome to attend the introductory sessions)

Supported by a team of creative artists with experience of music, dance, theatre, film making, recycled modelling, live performance, costume design and script writing, and all with a passion for supporting young people in the arts, this project is also about developing confidence, self-esteem, pride, achievement and creativity.

As well as sharing their arts projects at a friends and family exhibition at The Patch (date to be confirmed), there will also be the opportunity to attend the Court Theatre in Tring on 10th December (Liz runs the youth programme at The Court Theatre, and will also be launching a Youth Arts Festival in June 2022 where the children taking part in the Arts Award programme will be invited to showcase their work)

  • Tues 14th, 21st & 28th Sept
  • Tues 5th, 12th & 19th Oct
  • Tues 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th Nov

Children can also attend the enterprise session in the morning for a full day experience at The Patch (this would be at a reduced daily rate of £35 per day)

There is also the opportunity for young people aged 13+ to come along as a peer leader to support these projects.  If you are interested in finding out more about the peer leader scheme then please email info@letthequestbegin.org
