Young Enterprise Project

Young Enterprise Project    7-12 year olds

An opportunity for 7-12 year olds to devise, design and deliver their own business ideas.  Working together to create a range of stalls that will be involved in seasonal public sessions at The Patch.  Participants will be guided and supported by members of The Patch team who have extensive experience in developing hands on projects for children and families.  So, whether your budding entrepreneur would like to set up a stall selling home-made crafts, run their own refreshments stand, or design and print their own range of story books (to name just a few ideas) this project is a great opportunity to gain some valuable ‘business’ experience.

  • 7-12 year olds
  • Tuesdays 10.00 – 12.00
  • £20 per session (paid half termly)
  • Places for up to 12 children
  • This session is intended for children to attend independently (although parents are welcome to attend the introductory sessions)

We will be exploring all aspects of enterprise, from project briefings, ideas and concepts, design and development, budgets and materials, to customer service, stock management, and profit and loss.

Throughout the project we will be documenting the process in individual project folders.

Children can also attend the Arts Award session in the afternoon for a full day experience at The Patch (this would be at a reduced daily rate of £35 per day)
